Cedar Bark regalia is sacred and used in all except one of the Kwakwaka’wakw ceremonies. Although they may appear the same, each object is unique and is only used for specific dances.

Physical Description

Cedar bark head piece constructed by wrapping the bark around a wool blanket. To the front and back are attached tufts of shredded cedar bark dyed red, with some undyed strands. The front bundle is thicker than the back one.
