Bob Harris is a highly-regarded chief and carver who came from the Da'naxda'xw tribe of the Kwakwaka’wakw. Harris has a distinctive and recognizable personal style that has had a major influence on traditional Northwest Coast Art. Several carvings made by Harris can be found in the Potlatch Collection, and in many museum collections around the world. Harris traveled to Chicago and to St. Louis to perform songs and dances in 1904.
